We are committed to helping our residents overcome their addiction and develop the skills and resources needed to successfully reintegrate into society as responsible and healthy fathers. We strive to empower our residents to break the cycle of addiction and build a brighter future for themselves and their families. Through personalized support, education, and community connections, we aim to create a positive and nurturing environment that fosters healing, growth, and lasting change.
Our transitional housing service for African American fathers battling substance abuse is like the Tree of Life. Just as a tree grows from its roots, our program provides a strong foundation for our residents to rebuild their lives. The trunk of the tree represents the support and stability we offer, guiding our residents through the challenges of addiction recovery. The branches symbolize the growth and development of new skills, relationships, and opportunities for our residents to flourish. Like the leaves of the tree, we aim to provide shelter, protection, and a sense of renewal to those in need. Ultimately, our goal is to help our residents grow strong and resilient, just like the Tree of Life, and thrive as healthy and empowered fathers.

Mental health services include therapy, counseling, psychiatric care, and support groups to address conditions such as depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Physical health services encompass medical care, preventive screenings, wellness exams, and treatments for physical ailments or conditions. Emotional health services involve techniques such as mindfulness, stress management, and coping strategies to improve emotional resilience and promote mental wellness. These services may be provided by healthcare professionals, therapists, counselors, wellness coaches, and community organizations, often in collaboration to address the holistic needs of individuals.

MEET THE CEO/FOUNDER
Halle S. Betts, MBA, MHA
Halle S. Betts, a native of the South Side of Chicago, Illinois, considers herself an "Innovative Healthcare Leader" with a background in clinical research, community engagement, and supportive services. She works at Fortrea, a clinical research organization focusing on diversity and inclusion in clinical trial testing, patient recruitment, and engagement globally.
On April 4, 2021, Halle's life took a traumatic change when she lost her father, Ronnie Betts, to an accidental fentanyl overdose. This tragedy caused her much heartache and depression as she tried to understand how she would continue her life without her father, whom she adored, and what she could've done to save him from the addiction that he silently suffered from. In 2022, with the help of her mother, Dr. Tonya S. Roberson, they took the necessary steps to turn this tragedy into a positive one. She dedicated her resources, time, and passion to helping other fathers in the Chicagoland area by starting Ronnie's Haven Transitional Housing Services, a residential treatment center specialized for African American fathers in the Chicagoland area who are homeless or at risk of homelessness or suffering from mental health or addiction/substance abuse. Understanding the importance of the role of men in families, Halle designed her transitional home to provide services to uplift men holistically, mentally, physically, and emotionally to ensure generations have the support system they need to grow old and healthy together.
Halle values the importance of problem-solving and encouraging educational support to alleviate misunderstandings of life-threatening diseases and mistrust of medical institutions within the African American community. Halle is furthering her education by obtaining her Substance Abuse Counseling License and will make it her duty to help as many Fathers as she can nationwide.
